Its my personal belief that the genes of these 26 swarms from south america that escaped in 1956 have been diluted so many times with other species that the truly aggressive africanized bee can be found in Africa!

The exact reason why they do this is not yet determined. South-facing walls and other specific factors may have something to do with is, but their choice seems to be random at best.
